Traditional Uses: Vetiver is a natural insect repellent, and fans made from vetiver are coveted from India to Indonesia. Ancient sanskrit texts refer to the use of vetiver as an ointment for anointing brides. Vetiver is also a key ingredient in the perfume industry, particularly in mens’ cologne. Due to its cooling nature, vetiver's uses from an Ayurvedic standpoint include prevention or alleviation of heatstroke, thirst, fever and headache.
